Istutusmuld puudele ja põõsastele GREENWORLD 40 l
About this product
Planting compost for trees and shrubs is a backfill mix for the planting hole of fruit trees, ornamental trees, hedging and soft fruit bushes. The first year decides everything for a tree: if the roots manage to grow out into new soil during the season, the tree will get through the next winter; if they stay in the planting hole as if in a pot, it will not.
That is why this compost has a coarser structure than potting compost: it does not slump, keeps air in the hole and lets water drain away. It also contains a slow-release fertiliser that feeds the young plant through its first season.
The pack contains 40 l.

Advice from our agronomist
Dig the hole twice the width of the rootball. Keep the depth the same: width helps roots move out, depth only lets the plant sink.
Mix the compost with garden soil. Fill a hole with rich compost alone and the roots circle inside it instead of moving into the surrounding ground. Mix half and half.
Water heavily and rarely. One thorough watering a week carries water deep and draws roots down; a little every day keeps them at the surface.
