Cactus and succulent fertiliser is a liquid feed that differs from ordinary houseplant fertiliser in one respect: it contains little nitrogen.
For these plants that matters. Too much nitrogen makes a cactus grow fast and soft: the body stretches, the spines stay weak and the plant loses its shape, while the beauty of a cactus lies precisely in dense, slow growth. With bonsai the concern is the same: the goal is a small tree with the right proportions, not rapid growth. Potassium and phosphorus, on the other hand, support the roots, stem and flower formation, and a cactus flowers precisely when it gets calm, moderate feeding.

Advice from our agronomist
Feed only during growth. From spring to the end of summer; in winter, while the cactus rests, no feeding at all.
Apply to moist compost. Water with plain water first, then the solution — dry roots are scorched by concentrate.
Use less than the label says. With cacti half the recommended dose is safer: an overfed plant stretches and loses its shape, and that cannot be undone.
