About this product
Autumn garden fertiliser is a granular fertiliser that gets the garden ready for winter. It differs from spring fertiliser in one important way: it has little or no nitrogen and plenty of potassium and phosphorus.
The reason is simple. Nitrogen pushes the plant to grow new shoots, and those shoots do not have time to ripen into wood in autumn, so the first hard frost kills them. Potassium does the opposite: it strengthens cell walls, helps shoots ripen and improves frost hardiness. Meanwhile phosphorus supports the root system, which keeps growing in the soil after the top growth has stopped.
The pack contains 4 kg. Suitable for fruit trees, soft fruit bushes, perennials and vegetable beds.

Advice from our agronomist
Do not leave it late. Autumn feed goes on from August to October, while the roots still work. Scattered on frozen ground in November it will not be there by spring.
Spread under the crown, not at the trunk. The feeding roots are out at the edge of the crown — that is where the fertiliser belongs.
Work it in and water. A granule only starts working in moisture: mix it lightly into the soil and water if no rain is coming.
