Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant in autumn (September–October) at three times the bulb’s height in a sunny spot with well-drained soil; avoid wet sites. Space 5–8 cm apart.
Watering Water moderately during growth; after flowering keep the soil from drying out until the leaves yellow.
Pruning Cut off faded flower stems but leave the leaves until they yellow – the bulb stores nutrients in them.
Feeding and winter care Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring and during flowering; avoid excess nitrogen. Hardy; no special cover is needed.
