Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant the bulbs from September to October in a sunny spot in well-drained soil, 8–10 cm deep and 8–10 cm apart.
Watering Water in a dry spring; in summer the bulbs are dormant and need no watering.
Pruning Do not cut the leaves until they yellow so the bulbs can store nutrients.
Feeding and winter care Feed lightly in spring during flowering with a potassium-rich fertiliser. Overwinters without cover; stays in the soil for years and naturalises.
