Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant the bulbs from September to October in a sunny spot in well-drained soil, 10–15 cm deep and 8–10 cm apart, preferably in groups.
Watering Water after planting and in a dry spring; in summer the bulbs are dormant and need no watering.
Pruning Remove faded flowers, but do not cut the leaves until they have yellowed.
Feeding and winter care Feed in spring when shoots emerge with a balanced or potassium-rich fertiliser. Overwinters without cover; on wet soils the bulbs can be lifted after the leaves yellow and stored dry.
